Country house of typical structure from the villages of Maresme that, throughout its history, has hosted various uses: housing, carpentry, and even the village's event hall. From this period, the moldings and the imposing central rosette of the ceiling were preserved, despite their poor condition, which became the protagonist and starting point of the design. The materials were carefully chosen to reflect the tranquility, harmony, and clarity demanded by the clients.

The project involves a complete demolition, retaining only the façades, to ensure the freedom to adapt the functional program. A central void is created that runs through all the floors and, on the ground floor, transforms into an interior patio, the heart of the house and a key element for the comfort of its inhabitants. This patio promotes the access of natural light to the center of all floors and allows for the reduction of energy consumption necessary to achieve coherent thermal comfort. At the same time, sustainable construction systems and passive strategies are combined to minimize the carbon footprint.
